Characteristics	special alloy steel, supplied in quenched and tempered conditions. High strength and tenacity, good hardenability.
Applications	heavily loaded parts for mechanical engineering and motor construction.
Heat Treatment	Forging		Heat to 1150ºC Hold till uniform.Minimum forging temperature 850ºC.Cool slowly in ashes or sand etc.
	Annealing		Heat to 830ºC-850ºC.Cool infurnace.
	Stress Relieving		Annealed: Heat to 600ºC-650ºC.Hardened: Heat to 500ºC-550ºC.Cool in still air.
	Hardening		Heat to 830ºC-880ºC.Quench in oil or polymer.
	Tempering		Heat to 450ºC-660ºC cool in still air NB. Tempering within the range 250ºC-450ºC will result in temper brittleness and should be avoided.

XFD11 good toughness and wear resistance, suitable to make the blanking dies with a thickness over 6mm, drawing die and more
